GOVERNMENT BODIES
The Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is the highest governing body of the Foundation and is responsible for decision-making. This governing council meets at least twice a year but can be convened more frequently if the nature and urgency of the matters to be addressed so require. The majority of the staff work on a voluntary basis. Only in this way can the social goals of the Foundation be achieved.
Among the primary responsibilities of the Board of Trustees members are the following:
- To ensure the application of the previously established criteria for selecting projects and aid programs.
- To ensure the proper planning and constant monitoring of the Foundation’s activities.
- To conduct rigorous control over funds, ensuring that they are used optimally and in accordance with the organization’s objectives.
Therefore, the Board of Trustees plays an essential role in the Foundation’s strategic management, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all its operations. The Board members must be committed to the Foundation’s values and goals, working together to ensure that each project and program is successfully developed and significantly contributes to the organization’s mission.
