The ASAC association is a Venezuelan non-profit organization led by professionals and entrepreneurs seeking solutions to the country’s dramatic and long-standing socio-educational crisis. Fomento de Fundaciones has collaborated with ASAC on three significant projects in recent years. In 2020, Fomento de Fundaciones granted aid to ASAC to build a potable water well in the town of El Paso in the State of Zulia (Venezuela). The project benefited thousands of indigenous Wayúu people living in extreme poverty. The Civil Association Kasanay also works there, in collaboration with ASAC, focusing on training for low-income individuals, especially women. In 2022, Fomento de Fundaciones collaborated with the Association on a project to renovate the La Floresta Residence for the elderly in Caracas. The donation allowed for the repair of roof leaks and improvements to the walls, rooms, and façade. In 2023, Fomento de Fundaciones was requested to refurbish four cultural centers in Caracas, specifically in the State of Miranda. After a thorough preliminary study, the Foundation donated equipment to the centers in Prados, Etame, Almenara, and Norte. More than 2,000 people benefited from this equipment grant.
Impaktemos
Impaktemos is a Venezuelan non-profit organization founded in 1983. Its principles are the defense of human dignity, solidarity, sustainability, and the comprehensive education of women. Currently, it has over 4,000 beneficiaries. Driven by its commitment to Venezuela, this veteran organization has built several cultural centers in the north, in places of extreme poverty where educational barriers exist. In 2023, Impaktemos requested assistance from Fomento de Fundaciones for the “Recovery of Spaces for Cultural Centers” project at the Maracaibo and Caracas locations. It was necessary to renew some essential facilities for the normal functioning of activities, and the aid given allowed for their replacement.
